Seventy years of Tibetan stories behind “Dromas”
On the morning of July 1, 2021, a ceremony marking the centenary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was held in Tian’anmen Square in Beijing. Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, Chinese president, and chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivered an important speech at the ceremony. People from all walks of life in ASEAN countries have extended warm congratulations on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC.

Despite being rich in culture and natural beauty, poverty in Xinjiang has been an enormous challenge for this harmonious multiethnic society. In recent years, Chinese government has tried to overcome this problem with various poverty alleviation programs.
organized a trip to Xinjiang to get a glimpse into the lives of local people. More than 25 journalists from different media groups participated in this trip, including ten foreign journalists. I was also fortunate to get the opportunity to visit Xinjiang for the second time.
Xinjiang is known for its beautiful natural scenery, and often dubbed “Heaven on Earth” by tourists. The cultural diversity between ethnic groups in the region enriches your experience in western China’s Xinjiang. What makes Xinjiang different is the harmony within its multiethnic society. Tacheng and Yili are two cities in Xinjiang that showed us an example of how we can build diversity and unity in communities while coexisting peacefully.
