Embracing New Life

Every Tomb-Sweeping Day, Hua Congqi climbs a hill behind Huawu Village to worship a pine tree, which was planted by his father he never met. Though 87 years old this year, he still climbed the hill to observe the ritual because he wanted to tell his father about the changes in the village.

“I was very lucky to have attended vocational school so I could get the opportunity to participate in the World Skills Competition,” said Chen Jiarong after winning a gold medal in the category of Product Display Skills at China’s First Vocational Skills Competition held in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province, in December 2020.
