The year 2019 marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Malaysia and China. To celebrate the diplomatic ties and further improve the friendship between the two countries, achieve more education cooperation and strengthen cultural exchanges, the Education Malaysia Beijing, Embassy of Malaysia in the People’s Republic of China and 47 participants from Ministry of Education Malaysia and 9 universities namely Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi MARA, International Islamic University Of Malaysia, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, University Malaysia Kelantan, Multimedia University, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, University Teknologi Petronas, UCSI University from Malaysia will attend the 12th China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week (CAECW) in Guizhou from July 20 to 24, 2019.
CAECW is dedicated to building a platform and brand for education cooperation between China and ASEAN countries. So far, CAECW has attracted more than 7,880 participants from China and ASEAN, and more than 1,870 schools and educational institutions. 794 education agreements or memorandums of cooperation have been signed.
The Malaysian delegation will co-host three activities namely the China-Malaysia Higher Education Exhibition Exchange, Presidential Round Table Meeting and Built Environment Summer Camp and Youth Forum.
Ministry of Education Malaysia also will have Bilateral Meeting with Ministry of Education Malaysia, People’s Republic of China and Guizhou Education Department.
A visit and discuss to set up Malaysia Culture Centre in the Guizhou Minzu University also will be the main agenda.
We sincerely hope that in this China- ASEAN Education Exchange Week can enhance the education diplomacy of China and Malaysia in the future.
