The Ministry of Science and Technology of Thailand together with the Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) held a press conference on the ‘CAS Innovation EXPO’ which is normally held in China. But this is the first time to hold the event outside China and Thailand has been chosen as the venue for ‘CAS Innovation EXPO (Bangkok) 2018’ for China’s innovative science show. The show will cover the innovative science presentation from the Chinese private sector and also the cooperation between Thailand and China.
CAS Innovation EXPO (Bangkok) 2018 is an exhibition presenting new science and technology under the theme ‘From heaven to earth with technology’ which will be held from 9-14 October at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand. In addition to bringing the progress of science and technology in both Thailand and China to exhibit, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn has also brought honor and glory by presiding over the opening of the expo as a contributor to the Thai science and technology.
At the press conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. SoranidSilatham, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Science and Technology of Thailand, said that China has been developing science, technology and innovation in a quick jump. China is therefore the current world superpower. In the past till now, Thailand and China have cooperated in the development of science, technology and innovation in various forms. CAS Innovation EXPO (Bangkok) 2018 will be a great opportunity to promote further cooperation in science, technology and innovation between Thailand and China.
Mr.YangXin, Minister Counselor, China Counselor of Thailand said at the press conference that the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China is one of the co-exhibitors. We are very proud to bring some of our greatest work to exhibit outside of China, which are considered to be world-class. It covers over 100 technologies and also brings together 19 of China’s top entrepreneurs, with 14 Thai entrepreneurs, joining the exhibition.
Mr. Fan Hua, Deputy Director, Office of Innovation and Cooperation, Graduate School of Science gave a speech at the press conference. “With the cooperation of many parties, Thailand has been selected as the venue for CAS Innovation EXPO (Bangkok) 2018, which will be a tremendous opportunity to officially show the cooperation between Thailand and China in the field of science, technology and innovation. It will also be a great chance for the people of both countries to know the latest trends of innovation and the development of cutting-edge science and technology in both countries.
