When talking about China, it’s impossible not to mention WeChat.
WeChat is a part of all Chinese people’s daily lives.
WeChat is an app created by Tencent, a Chinese tech firm. It can be used on one’s smartphone as well as the computer.
Like other social media such as Facebook and Twitter, users can share their photos and their thoughts and comments on WeChat. Additionally, WeChat can be used as a messaging tool for sending messages, chatting, video calls, sending files and so on.
A vital part of the WeChat app is its mobile payment service. WeChat can be linked to a bank account, and people can use the app to transfer sums both large and small. Payment is also possible via scanning a QR code — now commonplace at shops across China.
In China, sellers ranging from street vendors to major businesses accept WeChat pay.
The most popular payment systems in China are WeChat and Alipay. In some Chinese cities, people can pay their subway fare by using Alipay.
In China, when going out, there’s no need to bring cash. Bringing your smartphone is enough. The scale and convenience of China’s mobile payment systems are unprecedented.
WeChat was established in 2011 and now has over 900 million users worldwide. The app offers a diverse range of services, and even includes a mapping tool that allows users to view congested areas and plan their trips accordingly.
Additionally, WeChat is referred to as an all-in-one app because one can use it to do almost anything, including the purchase of train and air tickets, booking hotel rooms, ordering food, hiring taxis and a multitude of other capabilities.

ေနာက္ထပ္ ပိုၿပီးသာသြားတဲ့အခ်က္က WeChat ရဲ႕ မက္ေဆ့ခ်္ box ကေန ေငြလႊဲလို႔ရတာပါပဲ။ ကိုယ့္ရဲ႕ ဘဏ္ကတ္ကို WeChat နဲ႔ ခ်ိတ္ဆက္ၿပီး ေစ်း၀ယ္တဲ့အခါမွာလည္း ပိုက္ဆံမသံုးဘဲ WeChat ကေန ဆိုင္က QR code ကို scan ဖတ္ၿပီး က်သင့္ေငြကို ရွင္းလို႔ရပါတယ္။
ဒီလို WeChat နဲ႔ျဖစ္ျဖစ္ တျခား ေငြေပးေခ်တဲ့ စနစ္တစ္ခုခုနဲ႔ျဖစ္ျဖစ္ ေငြရွင္းတာကို တ႐ုတ္မွာ ဆိုင္ႀကီးေတြကစလို႔ လမ္းေဘးေစ်းသည္ေတြအထိ လက္ခံၾကပါတယ္။
တ႐ုတ္မွာ WeChat နဲ႔ Alipay ကေတာ့ နာမည္အႀကီးဆံုး ေငြေပးေခ်တဲ့ စနစ္ေတြပါပဲ။ တ႐ုတ္က ျပည္နယ္တစ္ခုမွာ ရထားကိုေတာင္ Alipay နဲ႔ စီးလို႔ရတယ္ဆိုတဲ့သတင္းကို တေလာက ဖတ္လိုက္ရပါေသးတယ္။
တ႐ုတ္မွာေနတဲ့အခါ အျပင္သြားခ်င္ရင္ ေငြအမ်ားႀကီး သယ္သြားစရာမလိုပါဘူး။ ဖုန္းတစ္လံုးပါရင္ ကိစၥအကုန္ၿပီးပါတယ္။ ဒါေၾကာင့္ ခါးပိုက္ႏိႈက္ခံရမွာလည္း စိုးရိမ္စရာမလိုေတာ့ပါဘူး။ ဒီလိုေငြေပးေခ်တဲ့စနစ္ကို တျခားဥေရာပႏိုင္ငံေတြမွာေတာင္ မလုပ္ႏိုင္ၾကေသးပါဘူး။
WeChat က ၂၀၁၁ ေလာက္မွ စေပၚတာပါ။ အခုဆိုရင္ ကမာၻတစ္၀န္းမွာ WeChat ကို သံုးတဲ့သူ သန္း ၉၀၀ ေက်ာ္ေနပါၿပီ။
