I recently sat down for an interview with Mr. Zaw Ye Aung, who lived in China for 10 months before returning to Myanmar last year.
Zaw Ye Aung is a senior producer at current affairs channel Sky Net, which is one of Myanmar’s most successful TV stations.
He recalled that his opinion towards China changed dramatically after living in China.
Zaw Ye Aung first arrived in China in 2013 on an excursion trip to Beijing, Anhui, Shanghai and Yunnan provinces. In total, he has been to China five times.
“I’ve had amazing experiences and unforgettable memories. It was the best chance for me to learn about China. I still can’t believe I was lucky enough to receive this kind of opportunity. Although I lived in China for 10 months, I felt the time flew by,” Zaw Ye Aung said.
Zaw Ye Aung added that he is learning why China is becoming a world power. He said he is impressed by everything he has learned about China.
When asked about the role of Chinese media, Zaw Ye Aung enthusiastically replied: “China’s media is very wide-ranging, powerful, modern and reliable. They are trying to extend relationships with international media sources. They keep modernizing information technology. For us, our country’s media remains backward. We need to learn more. We need to cooperate more.”
Zaw Ye Aung has been to 20 Chinese provinces and municipalities, and even to a Chinese special administrative region, Macau. He has personally experienced the development of the provinces and the region. Each province has developed in its own way.
“During each trip to the provinces, I learned different customs and traditions,” Zaw Ye Aung said. “I saw companies and industries in every province.”
When he was asked which province is his favorite, Zaw Ye Aung replied: “It is hard to answer that. I like all the provinces I’ve been to. Currently I want to go to Gansu province as I want to know what the desert in that province looks like during winter.”
Other parts of China appeal to Zaw Ye Aung as well.
“Hainan has the most beautiful beach in Asia and is a wonderful tourist attraction,” he said. “Tianjin has key ports and a free trade zone for the Belt and Road Initiative. It is the fastest developing city. Jinggangshan City is famous not for having tall buildings or factories but for conservation of its environment. Anhui is a key place for technology companies and fast growing technologies. It is also home to the Huangshan Mountain (Yellow Mountain) range, which is included on the UN’s list of World Heritage Sites. Sichuan is the home of pandas. It has 80 percent of world’s panda population. It’s also famous for local foods and Sichuan opera. Hubei is home to the largest dam in the world, the Three Gorges. While living in China, the only thing that made me feel like a foreigner was the language barrier. Everything in the country is developing smoothly, not just for the local people but for foreigners as well. I think it’s because of modern technology.”
WeChat is one of China’s most successful technologies. If you have a WeChat account in China, everything can be done on your phone, such as ordering food, shopping online, booking train and airline tickets and transferring money. There is even a shared bike system that is now commonplace across China. People can simply unlock and use shared bikes by tapping an application on their mobile phone. Apart from shared bike systems, there are shared umbrella systems and shared power bank systems as well. Public transportation and taxis are also extremely reliable.
“China is like a second home to me,” Zaw Ye Aung added.

သူက တ႐ုတ္ႏိုင္ငံကို ေရာက္ၿပီးမွ တ႐ုတ္ႏိုင္ငံအေၾကာင္းပုိသိလာၿပီး တ႐ုတ္ႏိုင္ငံအေပၚ အျမင္ေတြလည္း ေတာ္ေတာ္ ေျပာင္းလဲသြားခဲ့တယ္လို႔ ဆိုပါတယ္။
တ႐ုတ္ျပည္ကိုပထမဆံုးအႀကိမ္ေရာက္တာ ၂၀၁၃ ခုႏွစ္ေလာက္ကျဖစ္ၿပီး ျပည္နယ္ေလ့လာေရးအေနနဲ႔ ေဘဂ်င္း၊ အန္ေဟြး၊ ရွန္ဟိုင္းနဲ႔ ယူနန္တို႔ကို ေရာက္ခဲ့တယ္လို႔ သူက ဆိုပါတယ္။ အခုေနာက္ဆံုးတစ္ေခါက္နဲ႔ဆို တ႐ုတ္ကိုေရာက္တာ ငါးႀကိမ္ေလာက္ရွိေနၿပီျဖစ္ၿပီး ဒီတစ္ေခါက္က အၾကာဆံုးျဖစ္ခဲ့တယ္လို႔ သိရပါတယ္။
“အေကာင္းဆံုး အေတြ႔အႀကံဳေတြ၊ ေမ့မရတဲ့ အမွတ္တရေတြ တရုတ္ႏိုင္ငံအေၾကာင္း အေကာင္းဆံုး ေလ့လာခြင့္ရခဲ့တဲ့ အခြင့္အေရးတစ္ခုပဲ၊ အခုထိကို မယံုႏိုင္ေသးဘူး၊ တရုတ္မွာ ဆယ္လၾကာေနခဲ့တယ္ဆိုတယ္ဆိုေပမယ့္ အခ်ိန္ေတြကုန္တာ အရမ္းျမန္တယ္လို႔ ခံစားရတယ္” လို႔လည္း ကိုေဇာ္ရဲေအာင္က ေျပာပါတယ္။
တ႐ုတ္ကိုေရာက္ေတာ့မွ အျမင္ေတြ အကုန္ေျပာင္းသြားခဲ့ၿပီး အခုေနာက္ဆံုးတစ္ေခါက္ကေတာ့ တ႐ုတ္ႏိုင္ငံအေၾကာင္းကို နားလည္ဖို႔ အေကာင္းဆံုးအခြင့္အေရးရခဲ့တယ္လို႔ သူက ဆိုပါတယ္။ တ႐ုတ္ႏိုင္ငံ ဘာေၾကာင့္ အင္အားႀကီးႏိုင္ငံ ျဖစ္လာတယ္ဆိုတာကို အားလံုးမဟုတ္ရင္ေတာင္ ေတာ္ေတာ္ေလး နားလည္လာခဲ့ၿပီး အရာရာက အထင္ႀကီး ေလးစားစရာေတြ ျဖစ္ေနတယ္လို႔လည္း ကိုေဇာ္ရဲေအာင္က ေျပာပါေသးတယ္။
ဆက္လက္ၿပီး တ႐ုတ္ႏိုင္ငံရဲ႕ မီဒီယာအခန္းက႑ကို ေမးျမန္းတဲ့အခါ “တရုတ္ႏိုင္ငံရဲ႕ မီဒီယာ အခန္းက႑က အရမ္းကို က်ယ္ျပန္႔လြန္းတယ္၊ အင္အားလည္း ႀကီးတယ္၊ ေခတ္မွီတယ္၊ ယံုၾကည္လို႔ရတဲ့ ရာခိုင္ႏႈန္းျမင့္တယ္ .. ႏိုင္ငံတကာနဲ႔ ပူးေပါင္းမႈ က်ယ္ျပန္႔သထက္ က်ယ္ျပန္႔ေအာင္ ၾကိဳးစားေနၾကတာ .. အခ်ိန္နဲ႔ အမွ်လည္း နည္းပညာအခန္းက႑ကို အေကာင္းဆံုး အသံုးခ်ႏိုင္ေအာင္ႀကိဳးစားေနၾကတာ .. က်ေနာ္တို႔ႏိုင္ငံ မီဒီယာ အေနအထားနဲ႔ေတာ့ ေတာ္ေတာ္ေလး အလွမ္းကြာေဝးေနပါေသးတယ္ .. က်ေနာ္တုိ႔ သင္ယူရဦးမယ္ .. ပူးေပါင္းေဆာင္ရြက္မႈ ေတြလဲ လုပ္ဖို႔လိုအပ္ပါတယ္” ဆိုၿပီး သူက စိတ္အားထက္သန္မႈအျပည့္နဲ႔ ေျပာပါတယ္။
ကိုေဇာ္ရဲေအာင္ဟာ တ႐ုတ္ႏိုင္ငံမွာ ျပည္နယ္ေပါင္း ၂၃ ျပည္နယ္ရွိတဲ့အထဲက ျပည္နယ္ ၂၀ ေလာက္ကို ေရာက္ရွိခဲ့ၿပီးၿပီ ျဖစ္ၿပီး မကာအိုလို အထူးအုပ္ခ်ဳပ္ခြင့္ရေဒသလည္း ေရာက္ခဲ့သူျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ သူေရာက္ခဲ့သမွ် ျပည္နယ္တိုင္း တိုးတက္ေနတာကို သူကိုယ္တိုင္ မ်က္ျမင္ကိုယ္ေတြ႔ႀကံဳခဲ့ရတာျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ ျပည္နယ္တိုင္းက ေဘဂ်င္းနဲ႔ ရွန္ဟိုင္းရဲ႕ တိုးတက္မႈကို မမီတာေတာင္ သူ႔နည္းသူ႔ဟန္နဲ႔ တုိးတက္ေနၾကတယ္လို႔ သူက ဆိုပါတယ္။
“ျပည္နယ္တိုင္းမွာ မတူညီတဲ့ ဓေလ့၊ ရိုးရာထံုးတမ္းစဥ္လာေတြ ေလ့လာသိရွိခဲ့ရတယ္။ ကုမၸဏီေတြ စက္ရုံေတြကလဲ ျပည္နယ္တိုင္းမွာရွိေနတယ္၊ … ေနာက္တစ္ခါထပ္ေရာက္ဖို႔ေတာင္ မေသခ်ာေတာ့တာေတြ …. အဲဒီလိုေနရာေတြကိုလည္း ေရာက္ခဲ့ရတယ္။” လို႔ ကိုေဇာ္ရဲေအာင္က ေျပာပါတယ္။
သူက ဆက္ေျပာပါေသးတယ္။ “ဟိုင္နန္ကေတာ့ အာရွရဲ႕အလွဆံုးကမ္းေျခကို ပိုင္ဆိုင္ထားတယ္။ ကမာၻလွည့္ခရီးသြားေတြကို အမ်ားဆံုးဆြဲေဆာင္ထားႏုိင္တယ္။ တီယန္က်င္းကေတာ့ Belt & Road စီမံကိန္းအတြက္ အဓိကအေရးပါတဲ့ ဆိပ္ကမ္းေတြနဲ႔ free trade zone ေတြရွိတယ္။ တိုးတက္မႈအျမန္ဆံုးၿမိဳ႕လို႔လည္း ေျပာလို႔ရတယ္။ Jinggangshan ၿမိဳ႕ကေတာ့ အထပ္ျမင့္အေဆာက္အအံုေတြနဲ႔ စက္႐ံုေတြမရွိဘဲ သဘာ၀ပတ္၀န္းက်င္ကို ထိန္းသိမ္းတဲ့ၿမိဳ႕ဆိုၿပီး ေက်ာ္ၾကားတယ္။ အန္းေဟြကေတာ့ နည္းပညာၿမိဳ႕ေတာ္ေပါ့ဗ်ာ။ နည္းပညာကုမဏီေတြရွိတယ္၊ နည္းပညာေတြကလည္း အလ်င္အျမန္ ဖြံ႕ၿဖိဳးတိုးတက္ေနတယ္။ ေနာက္ၿပီး ေတာင္တန္း၀ါလို႔ နာမည္ေက်ာ္တဲ့ Huangshan Mountain ေတာင္တန္းလည္း ရွိတယ္။ ဒီေတာင္တန္းက ကမာၻ႕အေမြအႏွစ္စာရင္းမွာ ၀င္ပါတယ္။ စီခၽြမ္းကေတာ့ အမ်ားသိတဲ့အတိုင္း ပန္ဒါ၀က္၀ံေတြ ရွိတဲ့ေဒသေပါ့။ ကမာၻ႔ပန္ဒါအေရအတြက္ရဲ႕ ၈၀ ရာခိုင္ႏႈန္း စီခၽြမ္းမွာ ရွိပါတယ္။ ေနာက္ၿပီး စီခၽြမ္းက ၿပိဳင္ဘက္ကင္း ေဒသအစားအစာေတြနဲ႔ စီခၽြမ္းေအာ္ပရာကလည္း နာမည္ေက်ာ္ပါတယ္။ ဟူေဘးကေတာ့ ကမာၻ႕အႀကီးဆံုး Three Gorges ေရကာတာႀကီး ရွိပါတယ္”
တ႐ုတ္ႏိုင္ငံကို ေတာ္ေတာ္ႏွံ႔ခဲ့တာမို႔ သြားခဲ့သမွ်ျပည္နယ္ေတြထဲမွာ ဘယ္ျပည္နယ္ကို အႀကိဳက္ဆံုးလဲလို႔ ေမးတဲ့အခါ သူက အႀကိဳက္ဆံုးကို ေျပာရခက္တယ္လို႔ ေျဖပါတယ္။ ေလာေလာဆယ္ေတာ့ သဲကႏာၱရမွာ ေဆာင္းရာသီဘယ္လိုရွိမလဲ ျမင္ဖူးခ်င္လို႔ Gansu ျပည္နယ္ကို ျပန္သြားခ်င္ေနတယ္လို႔ ေျပာပါတယ္။
“တရုတ္ႏိုင္ငံမွာ ကာလရွည္ေနထိုင္ခဲ့ရတဲ့ ကာလမွာ ကိုယ့္ကိုယ္ကုိယ္ ႏိုင္ငံျခားသား လို႔ ခံစားမိတာ ဘာသာ စကားပဲ ရွိတယ္၊ .. က်န္တာအားလံုးက တရုတ္ႏိုင္ငံသားအတြက္ေတာင္မဟုတ္ပဲ တစ္ျခားႏုိင္ငံသားေတြအတြက္ပါ အရာရာ အဆင္ေျပေခ်ာေမြ႕ေအာင္ နည္းပညာတိုးတက္မႈက ကူညီေပးေနသလိုပဲ၊ ေျပာမယ္ဆို WeChat ေပါ့ဗ်ာ။ တ႐ုတ္မွာ WeChat ရွိရင္ အားလံုးအဆင္ေျပၿပီလို႔ ေျပာလို႔ရတယ္”ဆုိၿပီး သူက ျဖည့္စြက္ေျပာပါတယ္။
