Themed on “industrial transformation and international cooperation in central China”, the China-ASEAN Media Journey on the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road 2017 kicked off on April 17. Twenty ASEAN journalists from twenty mainstream media outlets, including Brunei’s Borneo Bulletin, Cambodia’s Khmer Times, Singapore’s Zaobao, the Malaysian National News Agency and Lao National Television, were invited to visit China’s Hunan and Jiangxi provinces.
Their first stop was a two-day trip to Changsha, the provincial capital of Hunan, from April 18-19.

↑ ASEAN journalists visit the central China import and export commodities exhibition and trading center on April 19, part of the Heung Kong Global Trading Center in Changsha. In the Lao shop, they find completing cross-border tax returns and direct trading in the center to be very convenient.

↑ Changsha is famous for its cultural history and is known as a gathering place of educational talent. On April 19, ASEAN journalists visited the Yuelu Academy, which boasts a remarkable history of more than 1,000 years.
